In summer of 2022 Hangvető approached me to design a website for their Hangjáték (Soundplay) project. The project needed to inform locals in Veszprém and it’s area about music events, schools or any musical event to build the local music community.
The website was done completely in 3 months for a September launch. The tasks included wireframing, market research, UI/UX designs, iterations and developing the entire site using WordPress and a custom built Elementor theme.
The community building was also a big focus of the project, so we also created a Discord channel so that every user can talk, organize or meet up with fellow music enthusiasts.
It was important that the website don’t just serve as a directory for local events, but also showcases the benefits of life with music. To do this, we showcased several benefits and supported the message with various blog posts.
The visual system had to convey these messages too along easy-to-use layout for all ages. So we wen’t with an unique but energetic color scheme, typography and visual elements.
The design and project was a success and stays alive to this day. Hangvető’s partner, Veszprém-Balaton 2023 was also impressed with the website and we could’nt have been happier with the results.
