The Museum of Sweets and Selfies came up with an unique idea: to combine mouthwatering desserts with the growing influencer trend. What’s better than to take pictures of beautiful sweets then move on to the museum and take picture of yourself in unique settings?
A concept like this needed something unique and visually striking to match the experience on location. We knew we couldn’t settle for the ordinary so with Kaméleon Advertising we set out to design a landing page worthy of the experience.
We started with a simple wireframe. Once we settled on the order of the elements, we explored a few style iterations that tried to capture both the sweet side of the venue and the neon lights featured prominently on location.
The third and final concept was one where we struck balance between the both worlds, combining both into a balanced, visually striking and unique design, featuring smooth elements, a balanced light and delicious colour palette and the inclusion of neon elements throughout the key visuals.
We used parallax effects for the key visuals that responded to mouse movement or in case of mobile devices, the device rotation.
The client and the agency were both really happy with the results and while the current website moved on to a different team, they still use the foundations laid out back in 2018 which serves as a strong testimony to the foundations and hours developing an extendable wireframe we laid out.
I got to say, you created a really beautiful website 😊 Thanks so much for your work!
